College Colors Day

It’s one of the most spirited holidays in America. Today is College Colors Day.

What is it?

College Colors Day is an annual celebration that promotes the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great. It encourages people across America to wear apparel of their favorite college or university.

The college football season officially began last night, but the big games don’t officially begin until this weekend.

College football season is almost here, and that means it’s almost time for one of our favorite holidays. Friday is College Colors Day.

College Colors Day celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance.

Thursday trivia: Before this year, when was the last time Texas lost a bowl game?

With the unfortunate scheduling of last week’s BCS National Championship — falling on a Thursday — it made things tricky with football trivia.

But no worries. Our first question this week is a throwback to last week’s game, which saw Alabama defeat Texas 37-21.

The question is:

Before this year’s loss to the Crimson Tide, when was the last time Texas lost a bowl game?

The BCS National Championship Game is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Jan. 7, when Alabama will face off with Texas. That game is still a while away, though, and there are plenty of other great matchups in the meantime.
